The infrastructure works are carried out in partnership with our engineers and local volunteers. This reinforces the solidarity as well as the sustainability of the projects.
This program significantly helps reduce child labor and rural exodus. Most of the miners and their families have left the remote parts of the Bolivian Altiplano in the hope of fulfilling basic needs such as access to clean drinking water, health care and education etc. .
Construction of around two hundred community infrastructure works throughout Bolivia : drinking water, schools, sewers, electricity, irrigation, playgrounds, sports fields etc. These infrastructure projects have been instrumental in creating a network of communication, which is essential for long-lasting development involving a maximum of beneficiaries.
In one year, construction of 7 boarding schools in rural areas of Potosi, 50% co-financed by town councils.
The cost of infrastructure is reduced to a strict minimum thanks to the commitment of the local populations, led by teams of well-trained Voix Libres professionals. In addition, our stock of heavy machinery (tractors, bulldozers, excavators, trucks, etc.) generates profits, provides hundreds of jobs and the rental fees obtained from our vehicles and machinery bring a sound financial returns.
