Voix Libres is an international association that was founded in 1993 by Marianne Sebastien.

Overall Goal

Voix Libres’ goal is to offer alternatives to child labour in the mines, fields, garbage dumps and streets of Bolivia.

Once trained and educated, the young people direct their own projects. Their commitment ensures long-term development for the common good.

How?

By supporting programmes that ensure holistic development: education and training, health care, food self-sufficiency, infrastructure, micro-credit and small businesses.

Results in Bolivia after 15 years:

  • 563,000 beneficiaries thanks to the tremendous work of our volunteers in Bolivia, Switzerland, France et Belgium... a genuinely participatory democracy in which every thing is rooted in the poorest of the poor.

  • Over 10,000 children no longer go hungry thanks to our food aid.

  • 202 infrastructure projects have been built or renovated.

  • 97 agreements have been concluded with the local government or organisations, both public and private.

  • Two containers of handicrafts, quinoa and quinoa products per year are exported to Europe: a new economic model based on the common good of the most underprivileged, eliminating the middle-men between Bolivian producers and European consumers.

  • 412 workers are employed in 25 collective enterprises.

  • 234 collaborators in Bolivia, mostly young resilient people who succeeded in transforming their suffering into concrete results for the common good

100% of all donations, sponsorships, micro-credits are allocated to financing projects in Bolivia.
